Design Proposal
The proposed layout was carefully developed to maximise usability while remaining within a tight budget. The scheme included:
A large multi-use hall, suitable for teaching, meetings, training, and community events
A kitchen area to support events and extended use
Male, female, and accessible WC facilities, fully integrated into the layout
A 6-bay configuration, allowing flexible internal use and future adaptability
The design focused on efficient circulation, robust materials, and simple construction methods to keep costs controlled without compromising functionality.


Outcome
The feasibility drawings provided the client with a clear understanding of spatial arrangement, building size, and budget viability, enabling informed decision-making prior to progressing to detailed design or funding applications.

Affordable Architectural were instructed by a local rugby club in Batley, West Yorkshire, to prepare feasibility drawings for a proposed 6-bay multi-use facility located within an existing school site.
The brief required a flexible, cost-effective building capable of serving dual purposes:
Classroom and activity space during school hours
Community and rugby club use during weekends and school holidays
